PANGEA
Part Two of The Second World Trilogy

Science Fiction (Alt-History, Speculative)

4M/2F – 2 Males are East Asian America

The second piece in a science fiction trilogy that follows a love story between two guys from when they're 11-year-old pen pals until the end of the world nearly 50 years later. In this installment, they meet for the first time as 38-year-old adults.

Twenty-six years ago, Andy Manners ghosted his best friend Lincoln Passanante, and this morning – New Year’s Day, 2046 – they woke up in each other’s arms for the very first time. When they were children, Andy was the son of Muslim refugees who escaped a genocide the Red States when they became the New Confederacy, while Lincoln was a much-bullied half-Korean science geek. Now, Andy is an astronaut, Lincoln is a marine biologist at Antarctica’s Palmer Station, the New Confederacy is collapsing, the climate is reaching another catastrophic tipping point, and two men who have loved each other all their lives must confront an intimately and globally uncertain future.
